Shymbulak is the leading all-season mountain resort in Central Asia, located in the picturesque gorge of the Trans-Ili Alatau within the city limits of Almaty. The resort is situated at elevations ranging from 2,200 to 3,180 meters above sea level, within the territory of the Ile-Alatau National Park. During the winter season, Shymbulak offers slopes with a total length of 17–20 km and an elevation difference of up to 920 meters, accommodating the needs of both beginner and experienced riders. In the summer, the resort area is ideal for walking, hiking, horseback riding, and other outdoor activities.
