A popular destination for both locals and international visitors, Arosa features a variety of runs catering to skiers and snowboarders of all skill levels. Arosa is located about two hours southeast of Zurich. The resort merged with Lenzerheide in 2014 when the Urdenbahn gondola connected the two formerly separate ski areas. Now, the combined Arosa-Lenzerheide ski area offers a total of 225 kilometers serviced by 43 lifts, making it the largest connected ski area in the canton Graubünden.

Snowpack structure (2026-04-03): On the northern flank of the Alps, the large volumes of fresh and drifted snow from the most recent period of precipitation are continuing to stabilize. This new and drifted snow is lying on faceted weak layers, especially on shady slopes, and avalanches can still be triggered in these weak layers, especially in areas with less snowcover. These avalanches may become large in isolated cases.In the inneralpine regions of Valais and especially Grisons, weak layers in the middle of the snowpack are additionally still prone to triggering in some places, with avalanches possibly starting even in near-ground weak layers in isolated cases.As temperatures continue to rise, gliding avalanche activity is increasing, for the time being primarily at middle altitudes on the northern flank of the Alps.
